‘Stress’ may be defined as any situation which tends to disturb the equilibrium between a living organism and its environment.

Stress comes not only from a dramatic life event but lack of sleep, financial worries, chronic dieting, infection, digestive issues, reliance on stimulants such as alcohol or caffeine, unresolved emotional issues and other worries and concerns. However, many people nowadays still overlook the level of impact of stress that can have on their health, physically and mentally.
